CalTrain is coming with a ballot measure for MORE MONEY. Voters are so frustrated with transportation troubles that they will likely vote YES and ask questions later - like: where did that money go?

Great idea you came up with, transferring 6 people per 30 min (18 people during 3 peak hours). It will solve the transportation problems for sure...

In "Ride-share public transit?" the idea is not to transport 1 person per car (which would be pointless) but to CARPOOL. One car can comfortably fit at least 3 passengers. A minivan - 7 passengers. 12 carpools in an hour could transport 36 passengers - more than Mountain View Shuttle or VTA busses typically do, if you ever tried to ride one. Vanpools could transport even more people.
The problem is not with the throughput.
