Man accused of 1974 cold-case killing near Stanford campus pleads not guilty

A 74-year-old man who has been accused of murdering two 21-year-old women on Stanford University property in the 1970s pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in one of the cases on Friday.

A 10-year sentence for raping and murdering a 15-year-old girl in Germany? Gee, let's see, if he'd been given a proper sentence (oh, say, 25-to-life), the two Stanford students he's alleged to have murdered in 1973 and 1974 would still be alive, now wouldn't they? Outrageous.
