Correction to letter regarding MARIJUANA SALES: the statewide initiative that generally decriminalized the use of marijuana by persons 21 and over (just as a matter of state law) was approved by California voters in 2016 - not 2018. It was Proposition 64 and passed 57% to 43%. But it did not change federal law. With regard to the prosecution of city councilmembers who aide and abet criminal violations of federal marijuana laws, surely Californians can trust President Trump and his Attorney General to not do so! President Trump likes California liberals and would never use his office for his own political advantage!
