The MV City Council should receive credit for these actions. Irrespective if you agree or disagree with the implementation details. At least they are trying to solve one of the biggest issues facing MV: Transit. Much of this infrastructure was laid out in the 50s/60d/70s, and was never designed to handle the traffic volume we have now. Silicon Valley still remains relevant in terms of being a major global research and development center, and technology has become a substantial part of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP). It is a relief not to hear a bunch of meaningless platitudes, virtue signaling, or impractical ideas that do not take into consideration economics, finance, and accounting. I also give them credit for taking into consideration the risk of a business downturn and the effect on their expenditures.

I agree with some of this: Rengstorff Park, extending Stevens Creek Trail. But I thought there was this idea floating around that Google, et al, would be paying their own way as they built up North Bayshore. So, they get the benefits, and we get the bill!?

If there is still a plan to close the Castro/Moffett crossing at Caltrain/Central Expressway, would it not make more sense to make Moffett a bike boulevard, especially with its connection to the Stevens Creek Trail and divert bicyclists off Shoreline? As opposed to putting in bike lanes on Shoreline as well as a bus lane.
