"he faces up to 65 years in prison, three years of supervised release, a $1.25 million fine and $400 in mandatory special assessment fees."

Good thing they tack that $400 fee onto the $1.25M fine and the Voice is very diligent in mentioning this important fact.

Where is the NCAA in all of this?
This is nothing less than sophisticated bribery.

I think I liked Lori Loughlin's excuse best - "I didn't do anything that any other parent wouldn't have done if they had the means to do so." So these Hollywood types think that every kid who gets into college is there as a result of a bribe made by their parents up to the limit of their "ability to do so?" Wow. She looks right at people and says she thinks it's ok to lie, cheat, and steal your way into college and that's what "everybody does". She also said she didn't want to plead guilty because of the effect it would have on her children. A little late for that baby! I think she didn't plead guilty because she didn't want the part on Orange is the New Black!!

I'm with you, "Disgusted."

But I'm reminded too of occasional articles I've read, assessing something going on within the entertainment industry, that offhand and matter-of-factly describe Hollywood's celebrity corps as big on egos but small on brains. A characterization this latest scandal tends to support.
