Isaiah Peoples is a criminal who targeted the girl and others walking on that crosswalk. He wanted to kill them because he believed they were Muslims. He drove his car to hit the pedestrians, many of them suffered injuries. The 13 year old girl Dhriti was hit severely and was in coma at a hospital. Her dad and 9-year-old brother Prakhar were also hurt. This happened on the intersection of El Camino Real and Sunnyvale Avenue. Other injured victims were Marina Reimler, 32; Soeren Reimler, 33; Ping Lu, 51; Rajesh Narayan, 45; Eric Nava, 24; and Miguel, 15.

Be wary of GoFundMe. They charge a percentage. Who set it up for the injured people? How much of each donation will they actually receive?
There is a statewide Victim Assistance Fund that exists for this type of case.

@ Robyn

I understand your concerns, but why can’t she draw from both? Have you seen photos of this poor girl? Her life and that of her family is horrifically changed forever. GFM is an easy place for people to donate. They may take up to 10%, I don’t know. But if I didn’t know where else to donate, I’d be fine with $2 of my $20 taken so that she could get $18. Otherwise it’s much harder to get money to the family as GFM has a n established platform.

Tragic. Peoples has PSD and mental illness. More needs to be done to address that issue.
