SB 50 reportedly was amended on April 24 to divide and conquer the State. As amended, only the 15 largest counties (out of 58) will (initially) be at the mercy of developers. That includes every county that abuts the SF Bay. Only a few cities have awakened to the threat. Mountain View is not one of them. Last week, the Los Angeles City Council voted 12-0 to oppose SB 50 UNLESS it were amended to exempt the City of Los Angeles. Self-serving appeasement. That's the spirit. Didn't work to prevent World War II.
