There is no crosswalk across El Camino at Palo Alto Avenue.

AFAIR,

That's because there is a center island so you have to go the crosswalk at the intersection of El Camino and Shoreline. Unfortunately, if you opt to dash across, you are taking your life into your own hands.

Risky behavior is a registered user.

We frequently see people running across ECR outside of marked crosswalks. As shown by this sad incident, it is very risky (as is wearing earbuds, looking at phone and wearing dark clothing). Distracted drivers and distracted pedestrians are a deadly combination. Condolences to this woman's family.
