County supes seek to chip away at sanctuary policy

Original post made on Apr 10, 2019

The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 Tuesday afternoon to consider a policy that allows an arms-length working relationship with federal immigration enforcement, following an emotional four hours of public testimony, most of it opposed to the idea.

Ban RVs, 100% abolish any sanctuary city policy.
The RB ‘ban’ was way too weak. 18 freaking months that is BS. 60 days, done. 18 months says ‘we don’t have any conviction and we will allow to change our minds’

Get your act together Mt View, action not BS.

My View continues to slide in to the gutter with increases in blight and disease and crime.

I'd agree with the County District Attorney on this issue.

If you have a relative in this county without the proper immigration papers - and they insist on going against the (local) law and committing personal crimes against our residents (citizens, legal residents and other residents-without-papers) -

- most of us will be glad to see those probable criminals out-of-the-country. Sorry - most of us citizens do not want your relatives (of that type) in our neighborhoods, cities, county.

I'd agree with the Santa Clara County DA.

Bars, liquor stores & gas stations are probably the best 'everyday' venues for nabbing undocumented immigrant criminals.

Proof of ID, a clean security check & one should be free to go without ICE involvement/interference even if here illegally.

A prior record, having an unregistered hand gun or on probation/parole...let ICE detain them for further questioning.

Simple as that. No cause for concern in regards to profiling as ICE has already targeted the groups they are seeking.
