Tesla reaches $86K settlement with feds over hazardous waste violations

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Monday announced an $86,000 settlement with Palo Alto-based Tesla Motor Co. over hazardous waste violations at the company's electric car plant in Fremont.

$86K is a sick joke. Tesla should be paying the full cost of all of the hours spent upon this case --- plus 10x damages. I'd say about $10+++ million and felony convictions are the least necessary to get the attention of Tesla's board of directors --- but not management. If only Tesla were to have a rational and competent CEO --- and management willing to stand up to him. To any sane person, Tesla appears to be a insane "pump and dump" Ponzi scheme, just like during the Dot.com and Telecom startup criminal madness that ruled Silicon Valley until they both collapsed in 2001. Tesla will fare no better.
