The stated purpose of BMV was to serve low income students.

the clumsy superintendent was saying that you could put a quota on and exclude some of the slots or openings from being filled if there weren't enough low-income kids to keep it at a certain quota of low-income composition. so like if they got 50 low-income kids they had a hundred and sixty slots that wouldn't be enough low-income kids so they have to leave 20 of the slots open even though there were non low-income kids applying and trying to get in at legally entitled to get in.

Bullis never had any intention of opening a school that would be predominately low income kids. They knew that getting their charter approved would be difficult, so decided to come in under the radar and bait and switch their way into MV.
Basically, anyone who supports BMV are either deluded or a Trump follower. Either way, I’m glad that MVWSD will hold them accountable to their stated goals.
