“To administer the new housing paradigm, the state of California would create new agencies.“

Just what we need in California- more “agencies”/ more beurocratic government to squander our tax dollars. As if we don’t have enough people on the public dole- sitting around doing nothing while collecting salaries and lucrative retirement benefits.

Ain't it strange that legislators seem to always add regulations and demands, and (perhaps with some exceptions by Trump) never propose to remove onerous ones.

And like does the private housing investor provide adequate housing?

NO!

The industry had its chance since Cota Hawkins was passed.

The STATE must at least require ALL new housing to act with "INCLUSIONARY" pricing standards. At least 30% of the new housing units should be priced as affordable for the 120% of the area median income, 15% should be prived to be affordable to 80% area median income and 5% should be priced to be affordable to 50% of the area median income. the residual 50% can be "MARKET" priced.
