I saw them as well. Can Bird run their business, utilizing city property like this without a permit?
Can any of us do the same? Can I set up shop in the park without rent or permit as well? I make great baked goods I could probably sell by the playground if I could set up a small stand.

everybody can just leave their private property on public property so why not these scooters?

No, they can't. If I tried to leave a box of property at Cuesta it would be cleaned up. These are not just left, they are positioned for sale of the company's service. Blocking the public sidewalk. I guess we can just move them ourselves to make sure they are out of the way.

Deposit abandoned scooters in nearest trash can.

If you ever see these e-legal scooters blocking or encroaching the sidewalks, please move them to an out of the way area so people with disabilities do not have to reroute their path. Many times they are blocking the flow of pedestrian traffic on sidewalks or park walking paths
