Assault with a skateboard

Original post made on Feb 26, 2019

A 28-year-old transient man was arrested in the early hours of the morning on Friday, Feb. 22, after he allegedly tried to steal a cart full of goods from a Safeway and tried to hit a store employee with a skateboard.

So if they know the one suspect caught is a transient, why not see sweep the illegally parked RVs for the other culprit? Does the City even have any idea who is living in these RVs?

Pretty soon The Voice will need to add a Crime and Transients to the categories to be chosen in the drop down menu above.

There are a lot of transient people on the Stevens Creek trail.
Couple of them tried to speak to me implying I own them something and them being homeless is somehow my fault. It's getting not safe to run there.

@nihilist of course you are at fault! That’s what living in a sanctuary city is! It’s your fault for everything that was happened, and the choices that they made. As a working law abiding citizen and resident of Mt ViewYou are the criminal here.

Good thing you weren’t at Safeway when a 28 YO transient (really 28 and transient... obviously able bodied and there are tons of jobs...) was stealing and attacking. If he hit you with his skateboard and broke it on you, you would be at fault to repair it and pay for his emotional well being.

Three City Council members have been replaced and the is no change in the RV problem why .What will it take to clean the city up. We deserve better as Taxpayers high crime people living in RVs lousy roads poor quality of life enough already .

This is simple. Find out where all of the city council members live and hand out flyers telling the RV anchor-outs it ok to park on THEIR street.

Oh, and dont forget to go out there to protest if they try to move them.

I can point out 3 well established camps along the Stevens Creek trail, the "Crown Jewel of Mountain View". They are obvious and FILTHY.
I think the cops need help since they obviously have no idea where these camps along the creek are.
Can someone educate our police force about where the illegal and trash filled Steven's Creek transient camps are?
Do you need my help?!?! SHM

@Billy Bob

I think we need to give them a little time. But we do need to keep the crime problem on their radar.

I find it all quite sad and troubling. There are no easy solutions to any of the root causes.

But it does seem that increased enforcement of existing laws is called for.

Is how it seems to me, anyway.
