Mixed picture for city budget

It was a mixed bag financially for Mountain View as elected officials reviewed the city's midyear budget last week. While local property values and tax revenues continue their ascent to all-time highs, most of the city's other revenue sources seem to be going in the opposite direction.

Surprise,surprise, when you force out small businesses to build housing what can you expect. More bad news is ahead.

Looks like the above poster is suffering from Measure V Derangement Syndrome, given that they could post the same content-free post on any article, unrelated to the actual article itself.

Glad to hear that the city made some payments towards the (huge) unfunded pension. I would like to know when they're going to stop offering pensions with a defined benefit rather than a defined contribution (e.g., 401(k)).
