It would be helpful to include a map, illustration, or even latitude / longitude coordinates to the Basin.

Well, let no man say I didn't try. I uploaded a map, but it's too blurry to make out much, thanks to our website's sizing limits.

If you're looking for a better description of this location, I'd recommend checking out the city's staff report Web Link

They took out a lot of Redwoods for this "restoration"

Yes, patreewatcher, because as the article notes "Google officials explained that the redwoods needed to go because they were non-native to the climate zone and drought intolerant. In their stead, the company planted nearly 1,900 new shrubs and trees, including cottonwoods, willows and oaks."

El Palo Alto has been standing for over 1,000 years just a few miles away, but apparently Redwoods are a "non-native" species. Who believes this stuff?

El Palo Alto is not down in the sand/marsh area. It's much more inland, growing on a creek(natural water supply)and is unique because it's a bit of a freak, growing where other RWs do not.
The RWs down at the bay were ornamental landscaping planted by humans in the 1980s in an area where they never have and never will naturally occur. The few ornamental trees have been replaced with many more natural trees and plants. The area is healing and getting back to what it once REALLY was

Laughable. They tore down acres of marshland at the edge of Moffett Field in order to build another set of offices, and now pretend they're doing good deeds...ugh.

Is there any public parking nearby?
