It would be interesting to know how California compares to other states in ESL spending, especially on kids whose first language is Spanish. I suspect it might be on the top of the list for that.
But yes in general I agree that prop 13 is worth taking a hard look at.

One of the largest states with one of the largest ESL populations? Logic would dictate the expectation that CA should be spending more than smaller states w/ less ESL populations.

What really to read is a registered user.

The MV Voice never ceases to amaze and by giving ink to this extreme left socialist person and her radical views is seditious. A good parent would teach the evils of communism by having their children read Conquest's Great Terror, Solzenhenitsyn's The Gulag Archipeligo and Yang Jisheng's Tombstone. Then they can understand the real socialistic evils that Hureta is 'praised' for in the article.
