Sobrato couple donates $5M to El Camino Hospital

In one of the largest single philanthropic contributions in the hospital's history, El Camino Hospital announced last Wednesday that it had received $5 million from John and Susan Sobrato.

Their "generosity" is the equivalent of a Mountain View homeowner with a net worth of $1M donating less than a thousand dollars...

What a characteristic first comment from Randy Guelph above. A family voluntarily makes an important gift to the main local hospital, and Randy Guelph contrives to view it as grounds to complain. I guess people with such an outlook can conjure a "yes, but" downside to anything. To most readers though, it just reflects on the complainer.

To the Sobratos, Thank You!

To the hospital management, can you please return the bond money to the property owners who fund your exorbitant salaries, and benefits? Then, reduce the fees you charge insurance companies and patients that resulted in the surplus this year.
