Police arrest man suspected of stealing laptops

Police arrested a Martinez man last week after laptop-tracking software led officers to a suspect in the Waverly Park neighborhood who had a number of devices suspected of being stolen.

Kudos to the police this time. A while back we had many computers stolen from a business in San Carlos, which recovery software traced to an address in Hayward. Police in neither San Carlos nor Harward would help, saying a judge would not issue a search warrant based on such software.
