Great. Build in the parking lots of Facebook, Google, Apple, etc. Then people would not need to commute.
Who is making money off this idea?

$500,000,000 at about $400,000 per unit (an "affordable" housing construction figure I've read elsewhere) works out to a mere 1,250 units. "Affordable housing" is not "affordable". The real issue is who pays for it and how much they must pay to continue to subsidize it over the years.

When all these do-gooders come to town and want to help us by building more housing, There are two things that you can bet on. One, none of it will be built west of 280 and second, none of it will be built in their neighborhood.

How could there be only 3 comments on such an important issue??? And how could 2 contributors get 101 and 192 "likes" (me included) in less than three hours??? Something really bizarre is going on here. Is the Voice getting trolled, or has its comment system been compromised by hostile hackers? I've never seen such levels of likes with so few comments since I've visited here.

In the past, I demonstrated that the "liking" process is hackable.
One person can infinitely like any comment.
It is very easy to do with an ipad.

Maybe Chan Zuckerberg would allow development on the mountain tops they bought to preserve their privacy while totally ignoring the desires and needs of current residents.

Or maybe -- just maybe -- they could bulldoze wherever you live, and put up housing there.
