Dearest Stanford,
We know that you didn't create these problems but we need your bottomless coffers to fix them. Please pay up now.
Sincerely,

How does 2.275 million square feet of new construction, many thousands of new personnel (commuting as well as resident), and "the largest development application in the history of the county" NOT newly "create problems" that need to be paid for; and if paid for, why NOT by the very institution creating them??

Such expansions require much more than road work and infrastructure. How about affordable tuition for locals as well as a portion of admittance strictly for locals? All of these private universities make a huge profit for themselves but don't do much for the young people who grew up in the area and are continually displaced by the rising cost of housing, higher education, and people flocking to the area who CAN afford to pay for rent and the cost of living. Sure, contributing to local elementary schools is helpful, but a college degree is the standard for being able to survive in the bay area.

Maybe LASD can hop aboard this gravy train and demand that Stanford pay for the 10th school site?

The Couty seems to work for Stanford not for the people living in the county.
