In regard to the article about the YWCA providing services to women and families fleeing abuse:

Is there a need for clean used clothing, used towels and bedding as well as new basic personal items? Is there a place where these items can be dropped off? Many must have to flee with only the clothes they are wearing. Would the expense of examining items and storing and transporting these items exceed their value? What can those of us in the community do to assist the YWCA in helping ? Are there other battered women shelters here?

Would your reporter do a follow up story and include information about what kind of assistance would be helpful.
