With record demand, food bank's funding falls short

It's turning into an annual problem -- despite the booming local economy, Bay Area food banks are again dealing with the double whammy of too many hungry mouths to feed and not enough money to help them all.

Please define "booming economy" when thousands of people suffer chronically from food and housing shortfalls. And we have a record number of dead homeless people.
