Original post made on Dec 10, 2018

Yeah, they "retire" so they can collect a pension and then take the same job in another city. Our former City Attorney, Mr. Martello, is an obvious example of that.

If city officials don't like it, all they need do is change this policy.

Ms Kong was one of the best and most pro-active public finance managers that I have seen. I truly appreciated her dedication and the inspiring "serve the public" feelings that she seemed to instill in her department. Any finance person - who is willing and supportive of 'the public getting into the spreadsheets' is the type of government transparency person I want working for me, as a resident. It does not at all surprise me that she also planned - "a smooth transition" at her retirement.

There are many young people who are ready, willing, and able to take on the responsibility of running public institutions and government :( to see Lenny and Patricia go - but glad to see two new young and well-studied people taking their places )
