The Voice ran a story in its May 21, 2017 that Sarraf was retiring as Associate Superintendent. But here she is in another position. It appears that unlike teachers, administrators can retire and give themselves other positions to DOUBLE THEIR PAY. If Sarraf is working for free, the article missed it. How about asking? And check on this practice which extends to administrators in other agencies such as cities and counties.

Oh just swell. The district is finally admitting they don't know what they are doing and have finally sought professional help and expertise. Epic fail.

Other comments: how nice of you take time to slam this effort, with tangential questions and unwarranted hostility. There are other fora for your question and rude comment.
Epic fail indeed: yours.
And I waste my own time un chiding you.

I'd really like to see LAHS completely revamp their approach to math. The district has adopted a strange not-quite-flipped classroom approach that effectively leaves teaching of math to high priced tutors, and/or parents in the honors and AP level classrooms. At one point, in the middle of a very long honors trig session at home, I asked my kid, when it became obvious she was struggling to even draw a sin curve, "when was the last time the teacher drew a sin curve on the board in your classroom?" And she started counting back days, and it became obvious it had been a long while. I just shook my head. It practically brought me to despair. Something is very wrong with math in our district.
