No mention of pay, age or retirement benefits. Superintendents bounce around and participate in the endless process of increasing compensation for administrators. Passage of a bond measure is often a feather in the cap of these guys (few women) and helps land them the next overpaid position. If I remember right, back when I was in high school, most "superintendents" worked in apartment buildings in big cities and cleaned the shared restrooms. They were called "supers" for short. So much for real accomplishments any more.
