Sobrato Project is leasing parish land for huge project at corner of Church/Castro however the Revenue stream goes to Diocese, Sobrato and Bishop PJ McGrath need to step up and kick in 15K for the repair. This church is historical building and needs to be maintained as such. We tried to get the financial agreement of this deal at a parish meeting two years ago. Diocese CFO at the time was tight lipped, refused to disclose any details. We later learned parish not key recipient, please correct me as f that has changed.

The pastor does his best but I think most people are under the assumption that St Joes is flush with cash because of the Sobrato land lease deal, NOT the case. Despite being situated in the middle of Mtn View’s most affluent area it is not a wealthy parish. It primarily serves seniors and immigrant communities
