Politicians boasting about each other is a registered user.

These letters are mostly politicians boasting about each other. YICK! Here is the reality in the City Council race. The two incumbents will win because homeowners have seen their houses double in price in the last 4 years and rent control (voter initiative Measure V) has temporarily saved most renters. Former councilmember John Inks will likely grab the third seat because he stands up for residents over every Tom, Dick and Harry that might want to camp here. Plus, as a Libertarian, he opposes rent control that only passed 2 years ago by 52.5-47.5%. Inks is a co-sponsor of the landlords' initiative to "fix" Measure V by repealing it. While the landlords' initiative has been criticized as "sneaky," it addresses multiple aspects of Measure V that landlords and other opponents of rent control also found rather sneaky. The key in Mountain View and across the country is turnout. A third of adult citizens do not even register to vote and half of those registered do not vote in mid-terms. That leaves about 34% in charge with a majority (of those voting) at 17%. 17% of adult citizens are probably CRAZY!

I don't understand why you think you should have any input into the candidates for school board. You have not been superintendent for 13 years and you don't live in this community. A lot has changed in that time. You are trying to stick up a friend is all. It's time for a fresh perspective on the board.

We need a different direction for the city.

We can not have Siegel-Showalther-Rameriz as council members.

They have the same policy's as each other, no change will happen here.

They want to expand RV parking in our city, after spending $1.2 million dollars on this issue and no end in site, it is time to end this lawlessness and vote for candidates that will listen to the people.

Vote for,
Inks

Former Superintendent Yick can depend on Wheeler for endorsement, like Yick did in her try for an appointment to the County School Board. And Wheeler can depend on her "personal friend" Yick. Should Wheeler have developed such a personally supportive relationship with the Superintendents she oversees? Maybe all this support has just developed over the 12 years since Yick left.

Yick was cleared of a public pension allegation - spiking her final salary with health care, phone reimbursements etc. The state eventually cut off this practice - by changing the entire State Teachers Retirement System! But Wheeler and Yick are still great friends.

conclusion of pension spiking allegation - as the Voice reported, not illegal in 2008

Of course, then there was Wheeler's support of Superintendent Ghysels 'secret deal: amore', also not illegal.

If people attack people for speaking out, then many people will choose not to engage in democratic forums, and we all lose.

Anyone who gives time in service of children, as they have, deserves better than to be anonymously attacked online, in a forum where they wouldn't be likely to defend themselves. Rather, can Mountain View strive to focus on a critique of decisions and policies, rather than attacking people?

Why is Kasperzak afraid of Inks.

"For voters who want the third seat filled by a progressive, pro-housing council member, voters must unite behind a single candidate; otherwise the conservative candidate will win. It is just a simple matter of math."

One reason is that kasperzak is still upset from being beaten by Inks in the 2012 election. He just doesn't believe a moderate conservative could beat a hypocritical RINO turned fake democrat lifetime politician. It's really not that hard to believe. Like the MV Voice, MK hates that Inks doesn't like to play government like they did in third grade.

Inks is the real deal. He will work harder than any other candidate. That's why he is likely to win, even in a heavily democratic city.

As an aside, Inks is an excellent ballroom dancer and this is one of the reasons he is popular among all women. No one likes a fake government nerd like Kasperzak who wants to be a career politician.

@MK is afraid, the way your criticize people makes our democratic society worse. If this is how Inks supporters speak, it does speak well for him.

So you said

"If this is how Inks supporters speak, it does speak well for him."

Please explain just how well does it speak for him? MK is making it a personal vendetta towards Inks. He should be ashamed of himself. Mk is being called out for attacking Inks because offered no substance of why Inks should not be elected.
