Proud Taxpayer is a registered user.
You can't solve the high price of housing without addressing the high price of running a business. Small mom and pop stores are being forced out by high rent. If we are going to provide valuable for temporary homes, we need to also provide space for businesses. Maybe for every 10 spots set aside for an RV, we provide one spot for a food truck, and one for a thrift shop or dollar store to use.

I don't like it, and "LoL receives funding from the city of Mountain View and Santa Clara County" means that it's not faith based, it's financially motivated. It's too much, and a ridiculous burden to place on the city. Lenny S., I sincerely hope you're not re-elected. You pretend to be about social justice and you're just a whore to Google and any other developers - just BS.

This is honestly great! I've heard some terrible things about how providing bathrooms and safe parking encourages people to live in RVs and their cars. I think this is coming from a place of ignorance that leads to fear and misinformation. Very few people choose to live a life of uncertainty on the streets or in RVs. I am all for providing RV dwellers and others who are homeless with a safe place to sleep.

People should remember which council members-candidates support these RV's parking on the street, then vote them out.
