Stevenson got a new building too. Thanks yet again, MV-Voice. Your reporting, like always, is comprehensive.

Looks like chaos at the middle schools with the new eight period schedule. It is not at all clear what classes are being assigned as RTI which is supposed to offer either reinforcement/remediation or enrichment. Instead it looks like lots of kids are just getting three electives.

Nice to have more time for electives but too bad that Spanish, an important elective for many students, is not being offered at Crittenden!

I’ll bet everyone else at Mistral is just super happy to have a new principal. The old one will not be missed.

This is a nice story. Kids are back to school with new classrooms, libraries, and extra electives.

Please try to be nice. Everyone had their time to be nasty when the news ran about Principals.

Nice new schools (and opening ceremonies) at both Castro and Stevenson. Nice new school facilities next year on N Whisman Ave with Vargas opening. Hopefully nice new elective programs available at both middle schools.

Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative - in at least some stories of MVWSD! I'd agree.

In response to "Electives? Maybe": Crittenden had planned to offer Spanish, as they have for the last few years. Unfortunately, due to staffing changes over the summer, they were unable to find a qualified Spanish teacher. There is actually a statewide shortage of foreign language teachers which is affecting many schools in the area.
