Music teacher arrested on suspicion of sex-related communication with girl, 16

A former music teacher at The Harker School in San Jose was arrested for allegedly having inappropriate sexual communication with a 16-year-old girl, San Jose police reported Thursday.

It isn't clear if he solicited the photos or just received them after communicating with the girl.

Either way, he should know better.

And so should she. When I was 16 I knew better than to send racy pictures of myself to adults.

Sex offenders and vhild molesters take jobs and volunteer to gain access to victims. Police, school officials and parents should start asking questions about this man - and others.

Alex, Nobody knows how vulnerable this young person may have been - we know nothing about her life. Sex offenders know how to select the most vulnerable and needy to take advantage of. Rather than cast blame at this young girl, we would much better be looking for other victims - and being extremely careful with who is hired to be around our young people.
I'm sure, as "Thinking" says, there are many more victims. They have my sympathy and support ... not blame.
