In addition to the health concerns of high school football and traumatic brain injury as well as other injuries, there are valid neighborhood concerns.
At this point in time, Los Altos High school has TOO many students on its 30 acre
site. Action should be taken to balance attendance proportionately between the sites, relative to the available land. Simply put, 30 acres should mean about 25% fewer students at Los Altos High School compared to MVHS. Instead there are 400 extra kids at LAHS--more than MVHS for now logical reason. Until this is addressed, no added impact should be created on the neighbors surrounding Los Altos High School.
