Court upholds injunction protecting Santa Clara County from sanctuary cities order

A federal appeals court Wednesday upheld an injunction protecting San Francisco and Santa Clara County from a presidential executive order that threatened federal funding for so-called sanctuary cities.

My car was hit recently by one of the guys who is seeking sanctuary. Funny thing, he didn’t have a driver’s license, but did have an insurance. The problem is that his insurance were not able to contact him, so it refused to pay. So I am not a big fan of illegals.

@Ok, I don't think you understand what a sanctuary city policy actually is. Aside from that, it's an exciting made up story you posted.

You could sue the guy and get NOTHING. Maybe he could not even be found to serve with the lawsuit. If he were served and you ever obtained a money judgment against him, you could not collect the money unless you could find his assets or where, if anywhere, he works in the United States. You cannot sue his insurance company because insurance companies have political lobbyists, and the law does not authorize such lawsuits. Unless you have collision coverage under your own insurance policy, you probably are screwed - so to speak. Hopefully, you were not injured - this time.
