Just another peaceful day in the life of hard working, law abiding RV dwellers on Crisanto.
Rengstorff Park is starting to look like Tenderloin.
When will MV wake up and have the RVs cited and towed?! Why can Los Altos do it but not MV?!!

Maybe you should try actually reading the article?

"None of the victims nor the suspects have been identified as people living in the RVs along Crisanto Avenue, Nelson said, though the victim knows people who live inside one of the RVs."

Good thing these RVs...and great for our city. EVERYONE really loves the council's decision not to get these covered camping sites off our streets.

OFF THE STREETS!!!!

What are you all talking about? The suspects were fully-housed people. Your reaction is like hearing about a stick-up at a 7-11 and calling convenience stores a scourge on the city. Your bigotry is showing.

Perhaps MVPD could use their drones so they can peer into the windows of suspect people and maybe prevent this kind of thing.

Uh, do not try to convince people with facts, they have already made op their minds.

Wow! So many folks with their NIMBY empathy double up on their lack of compassion by blaming the victim for being a victim. Well done! Apply asap for heart transplants and enjoy a kinder view of life hopefully. Not sure what to do about your souls though.

"Police received initial reports of the attack in the evening on Thursday, July 12, when a teen reported blood and signs of an attack inside the RV of a family member along Crisanto, according to police."

Perhaps the victim and suspects do not live there but the attack looks like it happened there.

@Uh, you seem to be very defensive of these RV owners. If a MV resident pays $2 million for a house, why should they have to put up with these eyesores. Most of them along shoreline and crisanto look like they're on their last few miles. Even when the city was going to pay the bill for their waste, almost no one took advantage of it for fear that their RV would make it.

I paid $2mil for my house, I don't want to have to look at the poors$!!@!#$#%!~!

Do you like having your $2mil yard mowed? Your $2mil house cleaned? Your $2mil garbage collected? Your $2mil meals served in your $2mil cafeteria? Your $2mil children taught in your $2mil schools?

I can't with y'all.

It’s a simple fact the RVs are not good for the health of the city. Statistically much higher rates of crime directly associated with them.

The city was not built to sustain this type of situation, and residents don’t need to foot the bill in taxes to be subject to higher crime rates.

If you are so concerned for the citizens within the RVs. Open your personal homes to them and stop bucketing every argument against the current RV situation is racism.

MV should provide a basic fee-paying (to cover costs) RV Park in one of the Shoreline parking lots for 30 to 50 RV's and ticket everyone else. Length of stay would be up to 90 days and then they get kicked out. New tenants would be assigned on a lottery basis.

That way MV has done their bit, conscience clear and it is up to other cities to step up and share the burden.

I only said bigotry before, not racism, but let's all take a look at the person ranting about "illegals" and reflect on that for a bit.

What on Earth is that rhetoric? Now, every time someone's house gets broken into, MVPD should show up and say "criminals don't just break into a random house, these folks are clearly not innocent."

Do you people hear yourselves?

Thanks to the MVPD for their work.

> The vixtim clerly isnt innocent.

Innocent until proven guilty? Equal protection under the law? Spell-check?

Another reminder that the ideals that make this country great are not shared by everyone.

> Proverbs 21:13 -- “Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.”

I'm happy to live in a town where the Police go to work for everyone, not just idle-rich homeowners that anonymously demonize and defame their fellow MV residents.

Amazing. Perhaps you'd like to try "they were just asking for it, the way they were dressed." Or do you have some novel victim-blaming line?

So fed up with this nonsense!! All these advocates for RVs in MV will never share their driveway with these folks. John McCallister challenged people to welcome them into your driveway if you want them in town so badly. Easy to sit in your homes out of view or impact from this eye sore, then say we need to help them even more. This isnt a social services drop off point. Why am I laying out my ears in taxes, then to see how much the City pays into all these homeless plans that wont work!! I did discover Lenny Seigal is up for election and Showalter. They did choose to support RV living in town. My votes are to anyone running against them who want a ban!!

It will go to the candidate who says "ENOUGH Motor homes living on our streets!".

We need these mobile circus wagons off our street. We need their garbage out of our store parking lots and we need their sewage out of our directly to the bay drain pipes.

Why do so many people assume that just because someone has a Hispanic last name, that they must be undocumented? Are you seriously conjecturing that because the Voice *didn't* say whether they were undocumented, then they must be? What logic is this, exactly.

American citizens are fully capable of living in RVs, being in gangs, committing crimes.
