These perps publish their address and phone number. If this is truly a scam instead of "freedom of speech", why don't the authorities prosecute them?

They are providing a service for those who are too busy (why wait in line at the County office for hours?) or ignorant of the less expensive ways to obtain information. There are fuel delivery services who charge a premium to deliver fuel to your office and put it in your car for you. What is wrong with that? Or, the people who paint your number on the curb in front of your house for $35? Or prepared food delivery services? They are making a living.
If you want to locate the people, send them a check and follow the money.
Why should the government charge $6, or any amount, for the deed when we have the highest assessed values ever in Santa Clara County? If you want certified records, it costs even more. Again, we are paying more and getting less.

Hey, Robyn,

I like that you have to pay $6 for a service that the rest of us do not need. We should not be required to subsidize your use of county resources.

I have received these notices and they have an official look to them to get people to be suckered in. They include a disclaimer somewhere to avoid prosecution about it not being an official document but make no mistake lots of the people who pay for it are fooled because that’s the intent of the letter....look official and avoid a lawsuit.. probably lots of elderly fall for it.

They aren’t providing a legitimate service. In fact it’s easier and cheaper to use the official channels. Shut them down!

I formed an LLC and received an "Official Notice" that I needed to post
"Fair Labor Standards Acts" signs to satisfy the law and they would provide them for only $87. Our LLC has no employees. I did a web search and found a site that would provide the required signs for $18.

My objection is that the government charges for these things at all. Why is that not part of the services we all pay for with our taxes and mandatory fees? After all, we must do the research online without bothering the government employees at the office.
