I wish the voice and other news outlets would be better about advising on the negative effects fireworks shows have on pets and other animals. I like fireworks, but I think it's time we let them go for this reason. Did I mention the symbolism is bombs? Surely there are better ways to celebrate the launch of the United States?

My 4 dog have all been fine w/ fireworks.
Train hons send one of them into a freak out and really upset him for a long time. I don't think we should ban fireworks or train horns.

The displays were spectacular and the very large crowd in Shoreline, the people who came from all over to just get closer, the families of bikers and walkers who stuffed the Steven's creek trail, and those who watched from their roofs or just from the street...they ALL enjoyed it very much. The scene in our town was repeated in towns all over the area where quite literally millions of people enjoyed the fireworks.

I'm sorry your pets were upset. I have a friend who travels on the 4th with her anxious pooch to avoid fireworks. She didn't want to spoil the fun for EVERYONE else.
