Good letters - all three. What law does Jose Antonio Vargas propose for the borders and for immigration? Any?

Rather than add additional runoffs to top-two, a much better approach would be to implement ranked-choice voting. That way everyone can just vote once and it will go to an "instant runoff" if no candidate gets more than 50% of the vote. It seems to be working well in SF and Maine, so I'm hoping it gets implemented statewide here soon.

Ranked choice can elect extremists not favored by most voters. Positions up for election in this county in November are either a top-two runoff based on an initial vote in June (for sheriff) or seats that go to the top vote-getter(s) with no runoff (3 seats on the City Council, for example).
