Still time to vote NO on the recall

Original post made by guinnessthedog, another community, on Jun 4, 2018

After the ballots have been counted, and if, sadly, Judge Persky is recalled, that day will be remembered as being the result of Michele Dauber’s massive and destructive abuse of social media to disseminate falsehoods and distorted information against an innocent and honorable judge, the likes of which have never before been seen in Santa Clara County, and which will place a massive black mark on the County of Santa Clara.

Michele Dauber, the leader of the recall campaign, has set a very dangerous precedent, which is that anyone can employ social media as a rapid and destructive vehicle to disseminate slanderous falsehoods for the purpose of harming innocent victims.

Please get out and vote--there is still time to vote NO on the recall.

Proudly and without any guilt or hesitation whatsoever, because it was the right thing to do.

I voted no because this judge is being scapegoated. The system has failed victims of sexual assault - and has far too long sent the wrong message to want-to-be rapists and molesters. But a new message is about to be sent at the expensive of a good judge. At least Judge Persky can go back to being a prosecutor or other public or private attorney and make as much money.
