Five contenders line up in sheriff's race

Hear from Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith, who has held the office since 1998, and the four challengers on the June 5 ballot to discuss how they would run the department if elected.

I voted for Sheriff Smith.
She has done a good job for the citizens of Santa Clara County.
The deputies who killed the inmate were arrested as soon as there was enough proof that they did it. It was a tragedy for all.

Sounds like there have been way too many problems to continue Smith. Hirokawa appears to be part of the problem too.

Liked what La Jeunesse said about being proactive. Makes sense.
