I am a Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor ID #23367, I routinely find Lead in the glaze of tile. I find readings that are in excess of eight to twenty times the EPA action level of( one milligram per square centimeter ) 1.0 mg/ cm2. Any mild acid will leech-out 1/2 of the EPA action level when applied to the tile. Lemmon juice and vinegar are mild acids. Leaded tile on Countertops and tub surrounds are sources of possible Lead exposure.
