But reporting on the actual facts, the very complicated and layered history of Islam and the Middle East, requires quite a bit of effort and work. Much easier to lay it at the feet of " the 2016 election" and all that this implies. LOL. Classic.

The semantic argument that "Judeo Christian" excludes Islam can be resolved by simply calling those religions what most academics call them: Abrahamic religions. And far too many practitioners of all of them seem to think that everyone else should be bound by their own religion's rules. That has been the cause of much strife for the last 3000 years.

Alex M - "Abrahamic religions" is a made up term by Islamists and their dhimmis. Christianity is a chronological covenant after the covenant of Israel. It doesn't split off at Abraham. Christianity preserves Judaism as the OT, yet Islam preserves neither, and instead retcons and distorts everything. It denies pretty much everything in Christianity. Both Christianity and Judaism, which massively predate Islam have preserved Ismael as the hand against humanity. You can't have BOTH Judaism and Islam as canon, since Judaism, the covenant was with Isaac as the anointed one and the Children of Israel protected. Islam claims Ismael is the anointed one.
Islam is simply Mohammed using the laws and lores of the land for his own con artist benefit once his sugar momma Katja ran out of funds.

And no, much of the strife for the past 1400 years is on the hands of Islam.
