MV man arrested on domestic violence charges

Police arrested a Mountain View man last week after he allegedly bit, grabbed and tried to strangle his girlfriend, and later threatened her while she was at work.

I hope that's the end of it. A restraining order and maybe even a gun might be part of her future.

women owning guns tend to have it used against them and not in their own defense, so it may not be a great way to protect themselves.

@Me, well she might die by her own gun, or by his hands around her throat. At least with a gun, she has a chance of not being the victim. It sounds like this guy was on the verge of killing her. Another choice would be to quit her job and leave the area, thus becoming further victimized.

Your point is well taken. People who draw a weapon, but fail to execute, are taking a big chance the weapon will be used on them. So a gun isn't really a good option if you are not trained, or prepared, to use it.
