I like the requirement of a notice to comply before a lawsuit (as to the availability and adequacy of facilities) can be filed. But that is just federal law. What does California law provide? California businesses can also be sued under California law.

If the goal was to get or help businesses with ADA compliance, the law firm could have given warnings or notices before slapping expensive lawsuits on local small business owners. Instead they just extract money under the guise of helping the less fortunate.

I hope this case wins. We're so tired of these shakedowns hurting the community.

Don't back down from these shake down scum. They've been around for 20 years and you are right, they abuse the system and are greedy cowards that are represented by greedy lawyers.

The Moores are bottom feeders. Businesses need to comply with ADA but what the Moore’s are doing are doing is wrong, The city inspection needs to include ADA compliance. Why isn’t that part of the permit process?

I think it is despicable that a law firm is practicing this type of shake down. They don't care about ADA rights and compliances, they care about making the money for their firm. Truly despicable, putting small businesses at risk and enjoying that they can close them down.

Tanya Moore should be disbarred. Disappointed in our elected representatives voting against the amended legislation. They need to do their homework rather than just blindly voting against the Republicans. We need more bi-partisanship on commonsense issues like this. Kudos to Jackie Speier.

I sincerely hope the suit against the RICO scum includes restitution of all settlements coerced from the victims, such as the good people of Ava’s.

Because store managers can not inquire about dangerous dog breeds in their stores, I as a citizen, am asking them to leave or threatening to call 911. Are their any movements to get the service animal laws changed in Northern California? HELP!
