Parking is a registered user.
The two facebook buildings literally next door to this parking lot have tons of unused parking spaces on nights and weekends. Too bad no one can use it. :(

Should the last paragraph say that the service operates from 11 AM - 2 PM every weekday? Or is it really only operating Thu/Fri/Sat?

If you want to use the Facebook lots, the city just needs to indemnify the from any insurance risk or clean up costs that result.

Meanwhile the city is also looking into paid parking downtown.

I wonder if the city has considered an Automated Parking System, which is a much more efficient use of space than a parking garage or lot. Web Link

Yes, and there are so many private driveways I see empty of cars. We should be able to park there. LOL
I think this is a good idea for those with physical disabilities. For everyone else, here's how it usually works with valets. You want to save some time by parking closer to Castro, so you go the valet. When it's time to leave you don't simply walk 5 mins to your car, you wait 10-15 mins, sometime more, for them to bring you your car. God forbid they lose the tag or key. That's happend to me at El Camino and 2 x in SF.
In any event, more options, so why not.

The 2 open parking lots are not Facebook parking lots. They are owned by the city of Mountain View. You or anyone can park at the open lots. There is 1 more parking lot that no one uses that owned by the city as well, but it has a gate to prevent anyone from using the lot.
