Wait! Why aren't the authorities involved with this investigation? If she was forceably raped why didn't they report it to the Police dept? If there was an incident that happened on campus the police should be involved.

I really hope the school board is telling the truth and not just covering their rear ends

@paent - how cynical you are!!! The school board has NO interest in "covering their rear ends." As a former educator, I know that all teachers, administrators and school board members are interested in providing a safe learning environment for all students. Any accusation like this would be taken very, very seriously. Get all the facts before you rush to judgement!!

Get the facts, you say. Where? The report is that a parent complained and the district denied. The first poster is certainly right that av physical attack is a police matter. But the police will not talk prior to an arrest. What is certain is that this school district is running a PR campaign in support of its $295 million bond measure on the June ballot. The district wants no bad publicity - especially now.

A gender-neutral single-occupancy restroom is fine at the office. The school never should havw opened such a lockable restroom elsewhere. But again, this alleged "sexual assault" must be a police matter - not a basis for extracting money from taxpayers to attend a private school.
