This program is not at any Mountain View Whisman district school. Isn’t this a Los Altos school?

This is the Chinese Seventh-Day Adventist Church. It's close to Almond Elementary School, which is in the Los Altos School District.

I am not sure what the obsession is with trying to tie the school to a School District it isn't a part of?! It is a school in Mountain View that is private and not part of any school district. I assume that the Mountain View Police Department was probably checking to see if any kids used their after- school or weekend program that may have been molested, especially since there are a lot of Chinese speaking children in our town of MOUNTAIN VIEW!

I guess it is an after-svhool program in Mountain View that may include students in the MV-Whisman District. The lesson here is that child molesters seek out ways to be alone with children. In most cases, that access occurs in school, after-school and child-care programs. And don't forget sleep-overs. Being a parent is not inconsistent with being a child molester. In fact, most child molest victims were molested by a relative.

The persons who said BS. Do you know why the police arrested this guy? It wasn’t because he touched them in the leg or back or lifted them. Do you know what lewd and lascivious acts mean? Have you ever heard of Larry Nassar? Yeah, he was trusted and he helped a lot of people.

Just because you got helped doesn’t mean it’s BS. You sound like a young person who needs to read about the following topics: grooming behavior, Dr Larry Nassar and the US Olympic gymnasts, California penal code 288.

I think its sad how people pre-convict on allegations before someone gets a trial.

Many men's lives have been ruined by false allegations and have been found not guilty but have to live with that stigma the rest of their lives.

This has happened to me but the charges were child abuse made by a hostile ex-wife. After 3 days of trial, I was found not guilty as it was but it eventually destroyed my relationship with my children by separating them from me for years and my ex was awarded high child support.

"Howard" makes a good point, of course. False accusations of any crime can be made. It is especially true in cases of alleged "sex" crimes. But that is why we have police and prosectors involved in evaluating accusations and why we have criminal courts. Even before a defendant pleads or is found guilty, there is often a need for interim action such as arrest, suspension from work and pretrial detention. The man who abducted and murdered 15-year-old Sierra LaMar in south county was held for many years pending trial. He could have insisted upon a "speedy" trial but did not. He was convicted without even a body to prove the death or manner of death. But he was correctly convicted. Would "Howard" agree that no false accusation was made in that case? He would probably say he does not know.

You would be surprised by how our courts work. It isn't about truth and law anymore, it's about money and anyone can be found guilty of murder nowadays in this system, even you.

There is federal funding for our counties courts for these trials which are huge incentives to the local legal system. The courts run on budgets and this federal money is how they keep the judges and pay for the staffing, prosecutors and experts of these courts.
It's one big business now and not a legal system.

I have learned how the system works and if you were falsely accused of a crime you would too.

As far as guilt in the cases you mention, your right..I don't know unless there is a confession.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about.

A judge criticized for handing down a sentence some felt was too lenient to a former Stanford student who sexually assaulted an unconscious woman on campus, will face a recall.

This is the first time a California judge has been recalled in 86 years because they have absolute judicial immunity.

They can get away with whatever they decide in court. It's disgusting and society looks to the courts for law and order?

When the courts are lawless, so will be society.

Interesting Howard. You would not "know" that someone (else) has committed a crimes withoit a "confession." But even confessions are coerced or otherwise suspect. So, I suppose even with the crime and the face of the perpetrator on videotape, we would not "know" it occurred. Videotape can be altered. That is why, in criminal cases, the burden of proof at trial is "beyond a reasonable doubt." Mistakes can be made but, as you suggest, some doubt can be raised in any case. So what do you think, Howard: Would "proof beyond a reasonable doubt" be the correct standard in your ideal world of criminal justice? And as to false charges you say you beat long before trial, what new procedure or rules would you propose to forestall false charges?

Howard, stop equating your experience with this perpetrator. You were found not guilty, which means the system worked for you. God knows why your wife was so upset that she was willing to accuse you of child abuse. Also stop blaming the system for the ruined relationship between you and your children. You were found not guilty, so whatever ruined your relationship was on your hostile situation with your ex, and subsequently with your children. Seek help for your anger, so that later you can seek reconciliation with your children.

The police released the allegations against the defendants in crimes like this in order to alert the community if there are other victims, so that they can come forward and assist the continuing investigation. At responsible establishments where children are concerned, staff members are screened and prohibited from fraternizing with kids off hours. This perpetrator spends time on social media with the children. That is a big no no. Let the system work. And stop equating your experience with this.
