She may need those "television" skills to help convince voters to borrow hundreds of millions more (selling bonds) to upgrade and expand the high schools for the third time. Then again, school districts are not supposed to use employees or other public resources to campaign for ballot measures. Watch how they get around that rule. The district will handle the Public Relations (PR) campaign before putting the measure on the ballot as if the measure is just being considered and discussed and run by potential voters. Then, money will be donated by special interests, such as consultants and contractors, that stand to profit from the projects later. Fancy brochures with pictures of education- starved students will appear in mailboxes. Lawn signs will pop up here and there to give the false impression of widespread support. Most newspaper editors will hop aboard the bandwagon. Any opponents will be attacked as heartless and selfish. And with only 55% of those voting needed for passage, the money, as they say, is virtually "in the bank" and ready for squandering.
