Get Congress to Impeach and remove Trump (and Pence)

Local stories are nice. The quality of life here in Mountain View is partly determined by local decionmakers. But there are even more basic and potentially devastating matters at stake at the national level. If we just sit back and imagine that we are not part of the problem with only Democrats in the House of Representatives from the Bay Area, the House will never impeach Donald Trump (or his sidekick Michael Pence) and the nation will remain at grave risk of outright destruction. We need to get involved now in replacing members of Congress all across the state and country who will not vote to impeach or remove Trump. More than 2 years ago, professional supporters of Hillary Clinton rolled out a "Ready for Hillary" campaign designed to promote Hillary and discourage opposition within the party. While Hillary Clinton was well-qualified in terms of ability and knowledge to be President, much of America was not ready for returning the Clintons to the White House. I saw a former Clinton campaign manager on TV just a couple of days ago and who claimed that no Democrat could have beaten Donald Trump except perhaps President Obama (had he been eligible). The former Clinton manager is a liar, of course. The Clintons had baggage that made Hillary Clinton an easy target of allegations of misconduct and corruption. She probably was the only Democrat who could have lost to Donald Trump. The result of the Clintons' selffish campaign to return to power is the most crooked and unqualified President in the history of the country. Trump's head cheerleader (Vice President Michael Pence) may be more competent and mentally stable but may well be guilty of the same impeachable conduct practiced by Trump. Impeachable acts are not limited to statutory crimes, although there appear to be many crimes in connection with Trump's efforts to hide his history with and ties to Russia. But long before Trump makes corrupt deals with the richest man in the world, Vladimir Putin, he may destroy Silicon Valley with a H-bomb launched or planted by the ruthless regime in North Korea. Trump continues to threaten to push "the button" triggering a nuclear attack against the regime. While North Korea must be stripped of its nukes and there is no easy way to do so, threatening to push the button can only provoke or scare North Korea's dictator into firing first. Trump is completely unfit for the Presidency and needs to be removed before he gets us all killed. To oust him, we need to elect different members of Congress across the state and country. That will require good candidates. Such candidates will only step forward if it appears they can get press coverage and campaign funding needed to seriously challenge the incumbents. And other members of Congress can help by presenting truthful "dirt" on Republicans members standing by Trump. Silicon Valley billionaires would be smart to lead the charge - and to build their own bunkers in Utah.
