It is ok or not depending on the landlord’s permission/policy for the property/apartment.
If smoking is not permitted in lease, do your landlord a favor and let them know. I am sure they would appreciate an eviction with cause so they can re-let at market rates to a more responsible tenant.

There are no special rules other than those of the landlord. Same as cig smokers in apartments.
