Was he armed? Or was there a loaded handgun in the car? Where in the car? Was there a round in the chamber?

Lesson: If you're carrying a handgun and a bag of cocaine don't blow through red lights and stop signs.

Gary is a registered user.
He just likes to get high and drive through reds lights. Because someone might get angry with him or try to steal his drugs, he has a gun. If the guy had come from another state with a license to carry issued by that state, and the Republican Congress and their President were to enact a federal law that forces other states to permit carrying of guns by such persons in their jurisdictions, would this guy be chargeable with a felony under California law? It will depend upon the details of the new law. We may soon find out as the gun lobby works its will on corrupt members of Congress.

So Gary what's you plan to make sure people with drugs don't have guns. NOT license them?
